EPISODE 218: Veronica Blumhorst

On September 20, 1990, after her usual night shift at the local grocery store in Mendota, Illinois, Veronica Blumhorst clocked out at 1:07am. She walked out to her car with her coworkers, they said goodnight and Veronica headed home. She had mentioned to her coworkers that she was really tired and planned to just go home and go to bed. Veronica's mom woke up around 2am and noticed Veronica's car parked in the garage. She assumed Veronica was in bed and went back to sleep. When her brother woke up that morning, he looked for Veronica because she was supposed to drive him to school. He was confused because her car was there but he could not find his sister anywhere. She was last seen by her coworkers at the grocery store and in the almost 30 years that have passed, Veronica has never been seen again.

EPISODE 217: Arianna Fitts

On April 1, 2016, 32-year-old Nicole Fitts told her roommate that she had to run a quick errand to meet someone at a restaurant close by. Nicole’s 2-year-old daughter, Arianna, had been staying with some babysitters in a nearby city while Nicole worked. Nicole had decided it was time to pick up her toddler after the babysitters made excuses for not giving Arianna back. She took some money from an ATM, went to pay the babysitters and retrieve Arianna. Nicole never came home. One week later, Nicole was found murdered in a San Francisco park. Her body was discovered in a shallow grave covered by a wooden board. Her daughter, Arianna, has never been seen again.

EPISODE 216: Rachel Conger

Back in March of 2008, 30-year-old Rachel Conger had recently split up with her husband, Paul. Rachel and her daughter, Amber, moved to a new home in Como, TN. Rachel borrowed a truck from a friend so she could move some furniture to her new place. On the evening of March 12, 2008, Rachel told her daughter that Paul was coming to stay the night. She said he was off his medication and not acting right. Rachel told Amber that she was trying to keep him calm. She warned her daughter that if anything happened, for her to climb out the window and call for help. Rachel’s daughter went to bed that night and when she woke up the following morning, her mom and Paul were gone.
